Full Steam Ahead

Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead

In the past 10 years, job positions in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math have grown at three times the speed of Non-STEM jobs. This trend is projected to continue for the next ten years, and American universities aren’t producing enough qualified graduates to meet the demand. To remain competitive in global markets, America must expand its workforce of capable STEM professionals.

Au Courant Interiors' Focus on Community Development

Mixing our passion with making an impact. After attending a the Girls Night out STEAM event. STEAM - Girls in Science Technology Engineering Arts and Math. We wanted the opportunity to make the same impact on other girls. Our chandeliers, especially sea glass and gemstone chandeliers, are all hand-crafted and require a great deal time and skill to construct.

Full STEAM Ahead - A recently formed outreach program at Au Courant Interiors, aims to engage young girls by creating hands-on workshops and aligning with local institutions to assist in learning and education for girls ages 7-11. Au Courant Interiors strives to boost female student interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics by partnering with other S.T.E.A.M. organizations. We aspire to introduce young students to Architectural lighting design, a field within architecture, interior design and electrical engineering. We endeavor to give young women opportunities to explore their interests in S.T.E.A.M. fields in an hands-on environment. This modest step is not only intended to open doors for girls, but to also encourage female students to open their minds to see things from new perspectives. Our staff is excited to build links to our community and  make valuable, long term impact. #NeverRunOutOfSTEAM
